Framer Is Now Free for Students
Framer just launched a free plan for students, giving them full access to build and host personal websites, portfolios, and projects.
Framer Launches Free Plan for Students
Big news for students in design, development, and digital creation: Framer has just announced a completely free Basic Plan exclusively for students. This plan is typically worth $180 per year but is now available at no cost for anyone with a valid student email.
If you’re currently enrolled in school or university, this is your chance to explore all of Framer’s powerful features and launch your own site, without worrying about subscriptions or hosting fees.
What You Get as a Student
With the new student plan, you get access to everything included in the Basic Plan:
- Design and host your site for freeWhether it's a personal portfolio, a landing page for your side project, or a digital resume — you're covered.
- Full access to the Design CanvasFramer's core design tool lets you prototype and build high-fidelity websites in a visual editor that feels like Figma but with live site output.
- Use CMS, Analytics, and moreYou can create content-driven sites with CMS, monitor your traffic with built-in analytics, and manage everything in one place.
- Unlimited use of AI toolsBoth Wireframer (for quick layout generation) and Workshop (for AI-generated code components) are available without limitations.
Why This Is a Big Deal
Most web creation tools offer limited student discounts or partial access to features. Framer is going all in. With this move, they’re empowering the next generation of designers and developers to create fully functional, beautiful websites with modern tooling—all for free.
This also makes it easier for students to build real-world portfolios they can actually share with recruiters, clients, or collaborators.
How to Apply
Applying is simple:
- Visit Framer's Education Page
- Sign up using your student email address
- Get instant access to the full plan
No credit card required. No hidden fees.

Whether you’re just starting to explore web design or you’re already working on creative projects, this free plan is a game-changer. With Framer, you can design, develop, and launch without ever touching code or paying for hosting.
